Drawing from a collection of presentations made to a symposium on the Canadian Wheat Board (CWB), this study helps farmers and nonfarmers better understand the essential role of the CWB in the lives of western wheat producers, their communities, and the Canadian economy. Supporting Prime Minister Harper's neo-liberal open-market agenda, the book explains how it will guarantee corporate domination of Canadian grains. Defining the context, operational mechanism, and role of the CWB, this analysis makes the case for the organization`s economic, social, and political value.
