He has been resident poet for Literacy Time PLUS magazine and, as part of the National Year of Reading, was nominated as ‘National Reading Hero’ and received his award at 10 Downing Street.
His work has taken him across the world and appeared on Match of the Day, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 2, The World Service, CBBC, Sky Sports, Talksport Radio and in the Everton F.C. match day programme.
